Dubai has launched a community initiative to offer helicopter rides to elderly Emiratis to enjoy the city’s iconic landmarks from the skies. The initiative, called ‘Autumn with Dubai Civil Aviation Authority’, was launched on International Day for Older Persons in collaboration with helicopter operator Air Chateau and Community Development Authority (CDA). The purpose of the initiative is to give back to the senior citizens and provide them with an exceptional opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Dubai from the sky.

The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority organized flights for the elderly citizens, giving them a unique experience of watching the emirate and its charming beauty from the skies. A video posted by DCAA on social media shows the excitement among the elderly citizens who were surprised by the helicopter ride. The ride started from Al Barsha Community Center, and the participants expressed their joy and excitement about the experience.

Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, emphasized that the initiative is in line with the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Mohammed values the active participation of senior citizens in various community activities and prioritizes their involvement in social and family initiatives. The helicopter rides for elderly citizens exemplify Dubai’s appreciation and respect for its older residents.

The initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to inclusivity and engaging senior citizens in community activities. The city is known for its efforts to provide opportunities for all residents to participate in recreational and cultural experiences. By offering helicopter rides to elderly citizens, Dubai showcases its dedication to ensuring that every resident, regardless of age, has access to unique and memorable experiences.

The helicopter rides for elderly Emiratis aim to create lasting memories and provide a sense of appreciation for the senior citizens who have contributed to the community over the years. Dubai’s gesture of gratitude towards its older residents highlights the city’s values of respect, inclusivity, and care for all members of society. The initiative serves as a heartwarming example of how a community can come together to celebrate and honor its seniors.

As Dubai continues to prioritize the well-being and happiness of its residents, initiatives like ‘Autumn with Dubai Civil Aviation Authority’ demonstrate the city’s commitment to creating opportunities for all members of the community. By offering helicopter rides to elderly citizens, Dubai not only showcases its iconic landmarks from a unique perspective but also celebrates the wisdom and experience of its senior residents. This initiative serves as a reminder of the importance of recognizing and appreciating the contributions of all members of society, regardless of age.
