The Crown Prince to Lead Newly Established Riyadh Non-Profit Foundation

The Riyadh Non-profit Foundation has been officially launched by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. The foundation aims to support and develop institutional and social work in various forms, while also encouraging research, studies, and social activities. It will work towards enhancing community contribution to the development of non-profit sector programs related to the foundation’s goals, as well as promoting the culture of social work and enhancing its values. This initiative is a pioneering step towards enhancing social development and innovation in the non-profit sector, according to a statement from the foundation carried by the Saudi Press Agency.

The foundation focuses on achieving social development by empowering all segments of society, enhancing social cohesion, and contributing to preserving the identity of Riyadh society. It aims to work alongside government agencies and non-profit organizations to improve job opportunities in the social sector. Additionally, the foundation aims to become a regional and global leader in financing, designing, and launching innovative social programs. It will support healthcare, education, arts, culture, promote a sustainable environment, and contribute to improving the quality of life and achieving social development in the Kingdom.

The board of directors of the foundation includes high-profile individuals such as Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah, Mayor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Minister of Health Fahd Al-Jalajel, Minister of Education Yousef Al-Bunyan, and Advisor to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers Fahd Al-Rasheed. These members will collaborate to ensure the success of the foundation’s initiatives and work towards achieving the goals of social development and innovation in the non-profit sector.

The foundation aims to establish research centers and social project incubators, raise the level of community participation, efficiently manage affiliated entities, and improve their performance to achieve the desired goals set out in its establishment. It will strive to align its efforts with the development priorities outlined in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, focusing on building an integrated and interconnected system to enhance social development and innovation. By supporting various sectors such as healthcare, education, arts, culture, and the environment, the foundation aims to play a significant role in improving the quality of life and contributing to the overall well-being of society.

Overall, the launch of the Riyadh Non-profit Foundation marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to enhance social development and innovation in the non-profit sector. The foundation’s goals of supporting institutional and social work, encouraging research and social activities, and promoting community contribution align with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its objectives for social development.
