A delegation from the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) recently visited China, led by President of the Investment and Trade Court H E Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidly. The delegation met with President of Investment and Trade Court and President of China Law Society Roden Tong, Judge of the High Court of Hong Kong Judge Jonathan Harris, and Legal Counsel of Hong Kong Stock Exchange Paul Chow. The meetings focused on exchanging expertise and discussing ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

During the meetings, the Qatari delegation learned about the latest developments in the Chinese judicial system. They also presented the Qatari experience in establishing a specialized judiciary through the Investment and Trade Court. The delegation also discussed digital transformation processes in litigation procedures, as well as developments in arbitration and mediation. Modern solutions for resolving disputes through the Internet and court technology were also on the agenda.
