An orange alert has been issued by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) for convective clouds formation associated with rainfall and fresh winds in the UAE. The alert is in effect from 6.15pm to 8pm on September 19, with fresh winds reaching speeds of 40kmph in some eastern areas. This alert warns of potential blowing dust and unpredictable weather conditions. The NCM had previously issued a yellow alert for similar weather conditions earlier on the same day.

Moderate rainfall was reported in Wadi Al Ejeili and Wadi Tuwa in Ras Al Khaimah, adding to the unstable weather pattern. Residents are advised to stay updated on the latest weather news and follow KT on WhatsApp Channels for real-time updates. The weather department had predicted fair weather in general for the day, with partly cloudy conditions. However, humidity levels are expected to rise during the night and into Friday morning, potentially leading to fog or mist formation, especially in coastal and internal areas.

September 22 is the last day of summer in the UAE, marking the beginning of the autumn season. Cooler temperatures are expected ahead as the autumn equinox starts on the same day at 4.44pm local time. During the equinox, the Sun will be directly over the equator, resulting in equal distribution of sunlight in the northern and southern hemispheres. This astronomical event signifies the transition from summer to autumn, bringing changes in weather patterns and temperature.

The unstable weather conditions in the UAE, including convective clouds, rainfall, fresh winds, and blowing dust, highlight the importance of staying informed and prepared for sudden changes in weather. The NCM’s alerts provide valuable information to help residents and authorities take necessary precautions and ensure safety during adverse weather conditions. By following reliable sources of weather updates, such as KT’s WhatsApp Channels, individuals can stay ahead of the weather and make informed decisions to protect themselves and their property.

As the autumn season approaches, residents can expect cooler temperatures and a shift in weather patterns, with fog or mist formation becoming more common during the night and early morning hours. The transition from summer to autumn brings a change in scenery and outdoor activities, making it important to stay aware of weather forecasts and potential hazards. By following safety guidelines and heeding weather alerts, residents can minimize risks and enjoy the changing seasons in the UAE.
