Ahmed Mansoor Al Aali, a prominent figure in Bahrain’s business, charitable, and political circles, has passed away at the age of 94. Over the course of his life, Al Aali played a key role in shaping the development of the kingdom, both in terms of commerce and social impact. Born into a humble background, his early years were marked by his father’s work as a farmer, tending to palm trees. It was in 1949 that Al Aali began his business with limited resources, eventually establishing the Ahmed Mansoor Al Aali Group, a significant player in Bahrain’s construction sector.

A pivotal moment came in 1969 when Al Aali invested in an expensive crane, a decision that solidified his company’s position in Bahrain’s construction industry. This move was followed by securing major contracts that further established his company as a key player in marine reclamation projects, transforming areas like Al Naim and the Diplomatic Area, as well as contributing to projects at the Bahrain International Airport. However, Al Aali’s impact extended beyond business, as he founded the Aali Charity Society in 1992, which has since provided vital support to low-income families through scholarships, group weddings, and the upkeep of mosques and cemeteries.

In addition to his business and charitable endeavors, Al Aali was also a significant figure in Bahraini politics, holding roles such as Chairman of the Jaffaria Waqf Directorate and a member of the Shura Council. He was also involved in the financial sector through institutions like Bahrain Islamic Bank and Takaful Insurance. HRH Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, hailed Al Aali as an economic leader who inspired future generations with his dedication to the kingdom. As Bahrain mourns his passing, Al Aali’s legacy in industry and charity will continue to have a lasting impact on the country’s history.

Ahmed Mansoor Al Aali’s contributions to Bahrain’s development in various sectors have left a profound mark on the kingdom’s history. His journey from humble beginnings to becoming a key player in the construction industry showcases his determination and entrepreneurial spirit. Beyond business success, Al Aali’s commitment to philanthropy through the Aali Charity Society demonstrates his dedication to supporting those in need within the community.

Through his involvement in political and financial sectors, Al Aali further solidified his influence on Bahrain’s landscape, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations. His passing is not only a loss for his family and community but also for the kingdom as a whole. As Bahrain reflects on his life and contributions, it is clear that Al Aali’s impact will endure for years to come, ensuring that his legacy remains an integral part of the country’s history.
