Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, recently made an official visit to New Delhi, India. Upon his arrival at the airport, he was welcomed by Piyush Goyal, India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, with a traditional red-carpet reception complete with the national anthems of both the UAE and India. Sheikh Khaled was also greeted with a ceremonial guard of honour and treated to a traditional cultural performance showcasing India’s rich heritage. During his visit, the Crown Prince is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu to discuss various areas of bilateral cooperation. Additionally, he will visit Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and participate in a Business Forum in Mumbai.
Accompanying Sheikh Khaled on his official visit are several senior government officials from the UAE, including Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Dr Abdulnasser Jamal Alshaali, Ambassador of the UAE to India. The delegation also includes prominent figures such as Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies; Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development; and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
The visit aims to strengthen the existing ties between the UAE and India and explore new opportunities for cooperation in various sectors. Sheikh Khaled’s meeting with Indian leaders is expected to focus on enhancing trade, investment, and cultural relations between the two countries.
