Popular Indian TV actor Vikas Sethi dies at the age of 48 – News

In a tragic turn of events, popular Indian television actor Vikas Sethi has passed away at the age of 48. Known for his iconic roles in shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, and Kasautii Zindagi Kay, the actor reportedly succumbed to a major cardiac arrest. According to reports, Vikas died in his sleep after suffering from a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Jhanvi Sethi, and their twin sons, though the family has yet to release an official statement on his passing.

Vikas Sethi’s legacy in the Indian television industry was solidified through his portrayal of characters like Swayam Shergill in Kahiin To Hoga and Prem Basu in Kasautii Zindagi Kay. He also made a mark in Bollywood with a notable appearance in Karan Johar’s 2001 hit, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, where he played Robbie, Kareena Kapoor’s college friend. Additionally, his stint on reality show Nach Baliye 3, where he competed alongside his then-wife, Amita, further showcased his talent and versatility.

Beyond television, Vikas Sethi had a presence in cinema as well. He appeared in the 2001 film Deewaanapan and more recently in the 2019 Telugu blockbuster iSmart Shankar, demonstrating his versatility as an actor across different mediums. His untimely demise has shaken the entertainment industry, with fans and colleagues mourning the loss of a talented performer who left an indelible mark on both television and cinema.
