Qatar Foundation recently concluded its summer camp, “Mukhayamna 2024,” which brought together 568 students from QF schools and other schools across Qatar. The seven-week program organized by Student Affairs and Community Engagement offered activities in quantum computing, performing arts, sports, and leadership, as well as promoting Islamic values and Qatari identity. The camp was extended to the entire summer this year, providing students with more time to acquire new skills and talents. Various venues in Education City were utilized, and interactive, kinetic, and sports-related activities were prioritized to keep students engaged.

The camp aimed to help students discover new skills and talents and continue to develop them throughout the year through programs provided by Qatar Foundation. Activities like swimming, shooting, football, and chess were conducted in collaboration with local sports federations. The camp also welcomed children from Gaza and students with special abilities, providing them with valuable opportunities to interact with others and integrate into the community. In addition to skill development, the camp focused on promoting Qatari identity, Islamic values, and the Arabic language through various activities, including a play titled ‘Me and the Author.’

Students who participated in the camp shared positive feedback about their experiences. Many expressed that the camp was engaging, fun, and provided an opportunity to learn new things while enjoying their vacation. Students highlighted outdoor trips, leadership, public speaking, and collaboration as some of the key aspects they enjoyed. They also emphasized the value of meeting new friends, learning new skills, and participating in beneficial activities as a team. Overall, students found the camp to be a valuable and enjoyable experience that helped them grow personally and academically.

The camp’s emphasis on interactive activities and skill development resonated well with the students, who appreciated the diverse range of programs offered. Students from Qatar Academy Al Wakra and Qatar Academy Doha praised the camp for its positive atmosphere, educational experiences, and focus on personal growth. They learned to be open-minded, collaborate effectively, show kindness, and improve their skills in areas such as football. Many students expressed interest in recommending the camp to their friends due to the mix of fun, learning, and camaraderie it provided, making their summer vacation both enjoyable and enriching.

In conclusion, Qatar Foundation’s summer camp, “Mukhayamna 2024,” was a successful and enriching experience for the students who participated. The camp provided a platform for students to acquire new skills, develop talents, interact with peers, and embrace Qatari identity and Islamic values. By offering a diverse range of programs and interactive activities, the camp catered to different interests and provided students with a valuable learning experience. The positive feedback from students highlights the success of the camp in fostering personal growth, skill development, and a sense of community among participants.
