Gillespie emphasized that his team is well aware of the situation and is prepared to make an impact with the ball. With only 143 runs needed to secure victory on the final day of the Test, Pakistan is determined to fight till the end and make the most of the opportunity.
As the opening batsmen Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam raced to 42 without loss, the rain clouds gathered and bad light suspended play after the tea break. Bangladesh’s victory will mark a historical moment, as they have won only two series away from home prior to this. While the odds seem to be in favor of Bangladesh, the determination of Pakistan to bounce back and give a tough competition is evident in their performance on the field.
