Operation ‘Chivalrous Knight 3’ has been launched to restore and operate damaged and destroyed water networks in northern Gaza. The initiative is a result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Gaza Municipality, as part of the UAE’s efforts to provide urgent humanitarian solutions and funding to repair water wells and reservoirs in the region. The project aims to repair water lines, networks, and wells in various areas in northern Gaza to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the residents.

Due to the damage caused by conflicts, 60 wells have been destroyed, desalination plants are not operational, main water networks are damaged, and water contamination has led to a severe shortage of water in northern Gaza. The UAE aims to deliver water to densely populated areas, reduce pollution, and ensure a healthy environment by funding the repair of water lines and maintaining parts of the water supply networks across the region. This initiative will make it easier for residents to access clean water and alleviate their daily struggle to obtain it.

As an extension of Operation ‘Chivalrous Knight 3,’ the UAE continues to support municipalities in Gaza. Previously, the UAE undertook a project to repair wells and water tanks in Khan Younis to help alleviate the burden on the municipality, which was in a state of crisis due to damage to its water networks. The UAE has also established six desalination plants in Rafah, Egypt, with a total capacity of 1.2 million gallons per day, providing water to over 600,000 people in Gaza and delivering a total of 130 million gallons to date.

Under Operation ‘Chivalrous Knight 3,’ the UAE is providing humanitarian aid and water to displaced families in various areas of Gaza, supplying water daily to thousands of displaced persons. This initiative aims to ease the suffering of residents amidst catastrophic conditions in Gaza and meet the essential and urgent needs of the Palestinian people. The UAE’s efforts focus on providing immediate relief and assistance to those affected by the water crisis in Gaza, ensuring access to clean and safe water for the residents in the region.

In conclusion, Operation ‘Chivalrous Knight 3’ demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance and urgent solutions to the water crisis in northern Gaza. By repairing damaged water networks, wells, and lines, the UAE aims to provide clean water to residents and improve the overall living conditions in the region. The continuous support provided by the UAE through various projects and initiatives reflects its dedication to assisting the Palestinian people and alleviating their struggles during challenging times.
