Chief of Staff meets with Egyptian counterpart

The Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, Staff Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit, recently met with the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ahmed Fathi Ibrahim Khalifa. This meeting took place during Khalifa’s visit to Qatar, and marked the signing of the works of the second Qatari-Egyptian Supreme Committee at the level of Chiefs of Staff. The two military leaders also visited the Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Air Academy and the National Service Academy, where they discussed topics of joint interest and ways to enhance military cooperation relations between Qatar and Egypt.

During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening and developing military cooperation between Qatar and Egypt. Discussions included ways to enhance joint training programs, exchange of expertise, and collaboration on security and defense matters. The visit also highlighted the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, with a focus on enhancing security and stability in the region. The meeting was attended by senior officers from both the Qatar and Egyptian armed forces.

The Qatari-Egyptian Supreme Committee plays a significant role in promoting cooperation and coordination between the armed forces of both countries. By signing the works of this committee at the level of Chiefs of Staff, Qatar and Egypt are reaffirming their commitment to working together on matters of defense and security. The visit to the Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Air Academy and the National Service Academy provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange knowledge and expertise, further enhancing their military capabilities and readiness.
