Minister of Municipalities assesses projects in the capital governorate with the Capital Secretariat Council

The Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, recently met with Saleh Tarada, the President of the Capital Secretariat Council, and council members to discuss ways to enhance and develop municipal projects in the Capital Governorate. During the meeting, the Minister highlighted the crucial role of the Council in monitoring and ensuring progress in development projects in accordance with planned strategies, ultimately contributing to sustainable development in Bahrain. The efforts of the Capital Secretariat Council and municipal councils in supporting and advancing municipal work to benefit citizens and residents were also recognized.

Specific projects in the Capital Governorate were discussed during the meeting, including the development of the Manama waterfront (King Faisal Corniche), the establishment of two parks in East Sitra, and the development and beautification of Salman Port. Additionally, updates were provided on an urban and rural development Project, aimed at improving urban development in the Kingdom, as well as enhancements to the building permit issuance system (Benayat) and procedural improvements. The Minister and council members emphasized the importance of continuous coordination to ensure projects are completed according to priorities and plans.

The Capital Secretariat Council President and members praised the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture for their role and various projects implemented in the Capital Governorate that contribute to sustainable development. The Council reiterated the significance of ongoing coordination with the ministry to monitor project progress effectively. By working together, the Ministry and Council can ensure the successful completion of projects in the Capital Governorate, benefitting both citizens and residents of Bahrain.
