Discover Qatar, the destination management company of Qatar Airways, has recently introduced an exclusive air tour called Discover Doha by Air. This unique experience allows travelers to explore the breathtaking landscapes and iconic landmarks of Qatar from the comfort of a light aircraft. The Discover Doha by Air tour is designed to accommodate eight passengers in an air-conditioned cabin of a Cessna 208 Caravan, a single-engine light turboprop utility aircraft with large windows for optimal aerial viewing. Passengers will be provided with onboard headphones to listen to the pilots’ in-flight commentary during the tour. According to Discover Qatar Senior Vice President, Steven Reynolds, the goal is to provide guests with an unforgettable journey above Doha’s skies, showcasing remarkable landscapes and cultural treasures.
The 45-minute air tour will commence from Doha International Airport Premium Terminal, taking passengers over key landmarks such as Al Thumama Stadium, Aspire Zone, Education City, Lusail Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, and Thakira Mangrove Forest. The tour will also include flybys over The Pearl Island, Al Safliya Island, Katara Cultural Village, West Bay, the Corniche, National Museum of Qatar, Museum of Islamic Art, and Stadium 974 for a grand finish. The first tour is scheduled for Thursday, 27 June 2024, with bookings available on the Discover Qatar website at a price of QAR 710 for adults and children over two years old.
In addition to the regular tour, Discover Qatar is offering the experience to passengers transiting at Hamad International Airport for 6 or more hours. This package includes private return transfers between Hamad International Airport and Doha International Airport Premium Terminal, with a starting price of QAR 850. This initiative aims to enhance the layover experience for travelers, allowing them to explore Qatar’s beauty from the skies during their stopover.
