With temperatures reaching up to 45°C this week in some parts of the country, Qatar is experiencing extremely hot weather. The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has issued a weather forecast for tomorrow, May 22, predicting hot to very hot temperatures during the day, with scattered clouds and slight dust at times. The maximum temperature of 45°C is expected in the Abu Samra area, while in Doha, temperatures are forecasted to range between 31°C and 41°C.

The QMD shared an image showing the areas where temperatures are projected to reach 45°C this week, highlighting the need for residents to take precautions against the heat. Wind conditions inshore are expected to blow southeasterly to southwesterly at 8 to 18 knots, gusting to 26 knots in some areas. Offshore, the wind will be mainly northeasterly to southeasterly at 4 to 14 knots. The sea state is forecasted to be 1 to 2 feet inshore, and 2 to 4 feet offshore at certain places.

Today, May 21, Qatar experienced another day of hot weather with slightly dusty conditions. Mesaimeer and Abu Samra areas recorded a maximum temperature of 44°C. In light of the soaring temperatures, the QMD has advised the public to avoid direct sunlight and stay hydrated. It is recommended to stay updated on weather conditions through official sources or the Q Weather app to stay informed about any changes or alerts. As the weather continues to remain hot and dry, it is important for residents to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the heat.

Finding shade and staying indoors during the hottest parts of the day can also help prevent heat-related illnesses. The QMD’s weather updates and forecasts are essential resources to stay informed and prepared for any weather changes.

As Qatar continues to experience hot weather, it is important for residents to be aware of the potential risks associated with extreme heat. Heat strokes, dehydration, and heat exhaustion are common health concerns during hot weather, so it is important to take necessary precautions.
