Web Summit in Qatar 2025 invites impact-focused startups to help create a sustainable future

Web Summit Qatar is calling on startups that are working towards making a positive impact on society to join the upcoming 2025 Summit. The ‘Impact Startups at Web Summit Qatar’ aims to celebrate emerging companies that are striving to make the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals achievable. The movement encourages companies and entrepreneurs to focus on using technology to benefit their industries, communities, and beyond, with the SDGs as a guiding light.

Karena Walshe, Head of Impact Partnerships at Web Summit, stated that the Impact community at Web Summit is dedicated to contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. They specifically celebrate companies and organizations that focus on safeguarding the climate, diversity, equity, inclusion, and education. The upcoming Web Summit Qatar is scheduled to take place on February 23-26, 2025, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), where thousands of international entrepreneurs, investors, and leaders are expected to gather.

The Impact Community at Web Summit Qatar consists of startups, investors, speakers, and partners. The Impact startup program showcases startups that are working to make a positive impact in their communities, industries, and ecosystems, and connects them with world-leading investors, companies, and media outlets. Investors can participate in curated meetings with innovative startups focused on bettering the world, as well as knowledge-sharing opportunities through masterclasses.

The Qatar Spotlight magazine reported that the next big investment deal could be waiting at Web Summit Qatar. Impactful speakers have the opportunity to use the platform to highlight their work towards building a more equitable and sustainable future for all. Speakers, ranging from global CEOs to cultural icons, can leverage their influence to share their message across various industries and countries.

Web Summit Qatar partners with mission-driven organizations that are striving to make a positive impact on the planet and society. The aim is to highlight startup innovation, community mobilization, and corporate transformation in support of global sustainable development. The Web Summit held in 2024 gathered 15,453 attendees from 118 countries, with 1043 startups, 380 speakers, and 900 members of the media. The upcoming Web Summit Qatar 2025 is expected to be even bigger, according to the Qatar Spotlight magazine.

In conclusion, Web Summit Qatar is inviting startups to join the 2025 Summit to showcase their work in making a positive impact on society and the environment.
