Salama Saif Al Tunaji, a dedicated advocate from Sharjah, has become a prominent figure in the fight against bullying at the young age of 17. Her passion for this cause began in Grade 7 when she started conducting anti-bullying workshops for her classmates, which later expanded to community centres and charitable organizations in Sharjah. Her journey into advocacy was inspired by a personal experience she had witnessed as a child in Grade 1, where she saw a boy with special needs being taunted by other students. This incident deeply affected her and motivated her to take action against bullying.

Salama’s efforts have not gone unnoticed, as she is now the Chairperson of the Children’s Advisory Council under the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. She has also been recommended as the spokesperson for the Council’s prestigious award for bullying prevention in schools. One of the highlights of her advocacy journey was a recent meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed, who commended her accomplishments and encouraged her to continue her efforts. Salama believes in the competitive advantage of the UAE through its youth and expresses her gratitude for having a leader like Sheikh Mohamed.

In the future, Salama aims to contribute to the field of children’s rights and enhance the status of Emirati youth both locally and globally. She aspires to take on a dynamic role within the federal government that will allow her to continue her innovative work. Salama’s dedication to the cause of anti-bullying shows her commitment to creating positive change in her community and beyond. Her journey from a shy young student to a prominent advocate against bullying is inspiring and sets an example for youth empowerment and social activism.

Salama’s story highlights the importance of standing up against bullying and advocating for those who are vulnerable. Her initiative to conduct anti-bullying workshops and expand them to reach a wider audience showcases her determination and passion for creating a positive impact. As she continues to work towards promoting children’s rights and empowering the youth, Salama is setting a precedent for future advocates and leaders in the UAE and beyond. Her recognition by the Children’s Advisory Council and the UAE President is a testament to her dedication and commitment to making a difference in her community.

Salama’s journey serves as an inspiration for young individuals to take action against bullying and stand up for what is right. Her advocacy work has made a significant impact in Sharjah and has resonated with community centres, educational institutions, and charitable organizations. As she continues to pursue her goal of enhancing the status of Emirati youth globally, Salama’s story serves as a reminder of the power of youth empowerment and the importance of raising awareness about bullying prevention. Through her efforts, she is working towards a future where all children can feel safe and supported in their schools and communities.

In conclusion, Salama Saif Al Tunaji’s advocacy journey against bullying is a testament to the strength and determination of youth in creating positive change.
