This accolade comes from ScholarGPS, a platform that acknowledges exceptional international scholars for their significant contributions across various research fields. ScholarGPS analyzes over 30 million scholar profiles from more than 200 million scholarly publications to determine these rankings. The rankings take into account a scholar’s lifetime or five-year research activity, with a focus on publications, citations, and the exclusion of self-citations.
Prof Ahmed Al Durra, Associate Provost for Research at Khalifa University, expressed pride in the institution’s faculty members’ achievements, stating that the university remains a leader in the UAE in terms of world-class faculty experts driving research and innovation. Khalifa University’s Industrial Engineering and Operations Research discipline is ranked #53 globally in the ‘Global Discipline Lifetime’ category, with Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering following closely at #54. Chemical Engineering is ranked #137, and Electrical and Computer Engineering is at #160, positioning the university within the top 200 in these areas. In the past five years, the university has published 7,340 papers, accumulating a total of 91,528 citations. These rankings affirm Khalifa University’s standing as a leading institution in research and academic excellence.
