The annual local camel races for the 2024/2025 season organized by the Oman Camel Racing Federation have begun at Al-Bashir Camel Race Track in the Wilayat of Adam in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate. The three-day event kicked off with 18 rounds for the category of Hajjaj, including young camels and Jaadan, covering a distance of 3 kilometers. A total of about 650 camels and Jaadan from various governorates of Oman participated in the races. The second day of the Al-Bishara races will see the continuation of the local camel races with 12 rounds for the Al-Laqaya category over a 4-kilometer distance.
