The Ministry of Health in Riyadh recently announced the arrest of two individuals for practicing the medical profession without a license in the Hail region. These individuals, a Saudi woman and an Arab national, were also found to be promoting their services on various social media platforms. The ministry has referred the accused to the Public Prosecution for legal action to be taken against them.

The female citizen was found to be falsely claiming on social media that she was practicing traditional medicine, mixing treatments, and offering services for infertility, glands, and clots without the required license. On the other hand, the Arab national was advertising his services as a specialist in treating speech and learning difficulties without the necessary professional credentials. The Ministry of Health has warned the public against seeking health services from unauthorized practitioners and to be cautious of individuals promoting their services on social media platforms.

The ministry emphasized the importance of receiving health services only from authorized health facilities and practitioners. It warned that unauthorized treatments, practices, or mixtures could pose a risk to individuals’ health and safety. The ministry also cautioned against advertising health violations in the media and on social media without proper licensing. Punitive measures will be taken against individuals found to be engaging in such activities.

As part of its efforts to crack down on unauthorized medical practices promoted through social media, the Ministry of Health is conducting both field and electronic inspections to ensure patient safety and preserve public health. The ministry is working towards tightening control over harmful practices on social media platforms to protect the well-being of individuals seeking medical services. It is essential for the public to be aware of the risks associated with seeking medical treatment from unauthorized individuals and to verify the credentials of healthcare providers before availing their services.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Health’s actions against individuals practicing the medical profession without a license in the Hail region highlight the importance of adhering to licensing requirements for healthcare providers. It is crucial for individuals to seek medical treatment only from authorized practitioners and to be cautious of individuals promoting unauthorized services on social media. By taking strict punitive measures against violators, the ministry aims to safeguard public health and ensure the safety of individuals seeking medical assistance. The public is urged to prioritize their health and well-being by choosing healthcare providers who are authorized and licensed to practice. By raising awareness about the risks associated with unauthorized medical practices, the ministry is working towards creating a safer healthcare environment for the community.
