Qatari and German Foreign Ministries coordinate meeting with high-ranking officials

Diplomats and officials from Qatar and Germany met in Berlin to discuss ways to strengthen their bilateral relations. The meeting focused on the Qatari-German strategic partnership and preparations for the first Qatari-German strategic dialogue. Qatar was represented by Ambassador Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Hamar, as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Germany was represented by high-ranking officials from the Foreign Office, including Dr. Tobias Tunkel, Gregory Bledjian, Carsten Wilms, and Dr. Annika Bolten-Drutschmann.

The meeting aimed to push bilateral relations between Qatar and Germany to broader horizons. Discussions centered around supporting and developing the strategic partnership between the two countries. The upcoming Qatari-German strategic dialogue, to be co-chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock, was a key topic of discussion. Both parties emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in various fields.

Qatar’s delegation included Ambassador Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Hamar, Director of Policy and Planning Department Dr. Khalid bin Fahad Al Khater, and Acting Director of the European Affairs Department Fahad bin Mohammed Kafoud. Germany’s delegation was led by Dr. Tobias Tunkel, with Gregory Bledjian, Carsten Wilms, and Dr. Annika Bolten-Drutschmann also participating. The officials discussed ways to further strengthen political, economic, cultural, and security ties between Qatar and Germany.

The meeting reflected the commitment of both Qatar and Germany to deepening their cooperation and exploring new opportunities for collaboration. The strategic dialogue between the two countries is expected to enhance their partnership and pave the way for greater engagement on key issues of mutual interest. Both parties expressed their willingness to work together to address regional and global challenges, and to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the international community.

The coordination meeting highlighted the importance of maintaining close communication and coordination between Qatar and Germany on regional and international affairs. Both countries expressed their commitment to working together to address common challenges and promote peace and security in the region. The officials reaffirmed their shared values and interests and agreed to continue exploring ways to strengthen their partnership in the years to come.
