At the 57th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, the State of Qatar expressed its unwavering support for the unity and stability of Sudan, condemning any interference in the country’s internal affairs. Qatar also reiterated its dedication to promoting and protecting the human rights of the Sudanese people, emphasizing the need for their security and right to a dignified life. The Deputy Permanent Representative of Qatar in Geneva, Jawhara bint Abdulaziz Al Suwaidi, voiced deep concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in Sudan and the suffering of its people due to ongoing conflict.

Al Suwaidi stressed the urgency of ending hostilities and providing unhindered humanitarian aid to those affected, calling for accountability for the severe crimes and violations inflicted upon the Sudanese population. She highlighted the necessity of resuming negotiations and engaging in dialogue between the warring parties to prevent further risks and facilitate a comprehensive dialogue towards lasting peace, unity, and development in Sudan. Qatar reaffirmed its solidarity with the Sudanese people during these challenging times and pledged to continue providing support and humanitarian aid to mitigate the crisis.

The State of Qatar’s commitment to supporting Sudanese people and ensuring their rights and well-being remains steadfast, as evidenced by its call for the international community to intensify efforts and offer more assistance to meet the growing needs of the Sudanese population. As Sudan continues to grapple with internal conflict and human rights violations, Qatar’s advocacy for peace, stability, and development in the region is crucial in addressing the ongoing crisis and fostering a better future for the Sudanese people.

Qatar’s address at the Human Rights Council underscored the importance of upholding human rights and promoting peace in Sudan, emphasizing the need for immediate action to end the suffering of the Sudanese people. By condemning the crimes and violations against them and calling for accountability, Qatar has demonstrated its commitment to standing in solidarity with the Sudanese population and providing the necessary support to alleviate their plight.

As Qatar reaffirms its support for Sudan’s unity, stability, and the rights of its people, its stance on promoting peace and addressing human rights violations in the region is crucial in driving international efforts towards resolving the crisis. By urging the international community to step up its assistance and respond effectively to the growing needs of the Sudanese people, Qatar’s advocacy for humanitarian aid and support underscores its commitment to ensuring the well-being and security of the Sudanese population amidst ongoing conflict and turmoil.
