Salalah Free Zone is currently seeing a boom in industrial activities, with 75 projects underway or completed, totaling over OMR4.2 billion in investments. This was highlighted by Dr. Ali Mohammed Tabouk, the CEO of Salalah Free Zone. The recent Salalah Future Industries Forum aims to further attract investments and promote economic development in the region. This two-day event, held in cooperation with Tazeez International Foundation, focuses on key industries such as petrochemicals, food processing, and pharmaceuticals.

The opening ceremony of the Salalah Future Industries Forum was graced by HH Sayyid Marwan Turki Al Said, the Governor of Dhofar, who recognized the speakers and supporters of the event. The forum will feature visual displays showcasing investment opportunities, comparative advantages, and emerging sectors in the Dhofar Governorate. Three working papers will be presented, covering topics such as infrastructure, logistical advantages, and investment opportunities in the petrochemical sector, the global investments in the food industry, and the high returns on investment in the pharmaceutical industry. The event will also highlight the strategic significance of Salalah’s location near emerging markets and international shipping lines.

The Salalah Future Industries Forum will also include discussions on maintaining the sustainability of companies in the labor market, fostering innovation, and the benefits of investing in the Sultanate of Oman. Participants will have the opportunity to visit industrial projects within the Salalah Free Zone to gain a deeper understanding of the region’s industrial landscape. With a focus on promoting investment and economic growth, this forum serves as a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and showcasing the potential of Salalah as a key industrial hub in the region.

Overall, the Salalah Future Industries Forum is a crucial event for the growth and development of the industrial sector in the region. With a strong focus on key industries such as petrochemicals, food processing, and pharmaceuticals, the forum aims to attract investments, highlight opportunities, and foster collaboration in these sectors. The event also leverages Salalah’s strategic location near international shipping lines and emerging markets, making it an attractive destination for investors looking to capitalize on the region’s potential for growth and development. With a strong lineup of speakers, discussions, and visual presentations, the Salalah Future Industries Forum promises to be a valuable platform for promoting economic development and driving industrial activities in Salalah Free Zone and the wider Dhofar Governorate.
