As the new year begins, Bahrain is set to experience a cold wave brought on by a high-pressure system and northwesterly winds. The Meteorological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has announced that this cold air mass is expected to arrive tomorrow evening. Wind speeds will increase on New Year’s Day, with northwesterly winds continuing until early the following week. These conditions will result in dusty weather and sea wave heights reaching up to 6 feet.

The daytime temperatures during this cold wave are forecasted to be around 20°C, while nighttime lows could go as low as 12°C. However, due to the strong winds, temperatures are likely to feel even colder. It is advised for residents to take necessary precautions to stay warm and protect themselves from the chilly weather.

This cold wave is expected to last for several days, so it is important for residents to be prepared for the prolonged period of low temperatures. It is recommended to dress warmly, especially during the evenings and early mornings when the temperatures are at their lowest. The increase in wind speeds may also cause discomfort, so it is advisable to stay indoors as much as possible.

During this cold wave, the sea wave heights are expected to reach up to 6 feet, posing a risk to those venturing out into the waters. It is advised for marine enthusiasts to exercise caution and avoid activities that may put them at risk. Additionally, the dusty weather conditions may cause visibility issues on the roads, so drivers are urged to drive carefully and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.

Overall, the cold wave hitting Bahrain at the beginning of the new year is expected to bring chilly temperatures, strong winds, and dusty conditions. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay warm and safe during this period. It is important to dress warmly, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, and drive carefully on the roads. By being prepared and staying informed about the weather conditions, residents can navigate through this cold wave safely.
