Media City Qatar has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Fadaat Media Group, with the aim of enhancing media infrastructure and local production capabilities in Qatar. The agreement was signed at Fadaat Studios in Lusail, bringing together senior leadership from both organizations. The partnership will focus on strengthening the media landscape in Qatar, with Media City Qatar assisting Fadaat in establishing and licensing companies, incentivizing local production, supporting the development of a media training academy, and exploring advertising and broadcasting opportunities through Alaraby Television Network’s FM frequency.

In return, Media City Qatar will collaborate with Fadaat Media Group to leverage their technical expertise and access their production studios in Lusail, enhancing local production capabilities and supporting infrastructure development. This partnership is expected to boost Qatar’s media sector by nurturing local talent and fostering innovation within the industry. CEO of Media City Qatar Eng. Jassim Mohamed Al Khori expressed his excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the shared vision of turning Qatar into a global media hub through innovation, talent development, and advanced production capabilities that will elevate the entire sector.

CEO of Fadaat Media Group Maayed Dib also highlighted the significance of the collaboration, stating that it will push the boundaries of Qatar’s media industry by harnessing their expertise and combining it with Media City’s innovative vision. Fadaat Media Group, established in 2012 and headquartered in Qatar, is one of the largest media networks in the Arab world, reaching a global audience of over 500 million. The group is dedicated to providing comprehensive news coverage, supporting cultural production, and driving innovation in media services across its various platforms, contributing to shaping the Arab media landscape.

Media City Qatar is committed to fostering the growth of the nation’s creative industries, from broadcasting and digital news to gaming, AI, and emerging technologies. The partnership with Fadaat Media Group is part of a series of strategic partnerships that Media City Qatar has forged this year, further solidifying its role in enhancing Qatar’s media and innovation landscape. Previous collaborations with Cité de Mémoire, Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation Council, and Qatar University demonstrate Media City Qatar’s dedication to building a robust ecosystem for media and technology development in the country.

Overall, the partnership between Media City Qatar and Fadaat Media Group is set to have a significant impact on Qatar’s media industry by promoting collaboration, innovation, and talent development. By joining forces, the two organizations aim to create a strong foundation for the growth and advancement of the sector, ensuring that Qatar remains at the forefront of media development and technology innovation in the region. This strategic partnership highlights the importance of collaboration and cooperation in driving progress and excellence in the media industry in Qatar and beyond.
