Nama Water Services company has initiated the second phase of the digital transition project for water meters in North Al Batinah Governorate. This project includes the installation of over 115,000 meters in the governorate’s wilayats. With a plan to install more than 400,000 meters in total, the company aims to improve its services for beneficiaries in the region. The project offers subscribers the choice between prepaid and postpaid digital meters, free of charge. By providing continuous and daily readings, these meters help in accurate billing and water consumption monitoring.

At a meeting organized by Nama Water Services and under the auspices of Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, the features of the new digital meters were discussed. These meters enable remote reading and provide subscribers with electronic invoices reflecting actual consumption. Subscribers can update their data through the company’s electronic portal, streamlining the billing process. The installation of digital meters not only improves billing accuracy but also helps in detecting internal leakages. By alerting subscribers through notifications, the system allows for swift action to be taken in case of leaks, ultimately reducing complaints regarding high consumption bills.

The shift to digital meters promotes water conservation by providing real-time consumption information to subscribers. With hourly updates on consumption, subscribers can monitor their usage and identify any abnormalities indicating potential leakages. This proactive approach helps in reducing water loss and improving overall water distribution efficiency. By comparing the amount of water distributed by main meters to that received at home meters, the system effectively detects and treats leaks, contributing to enhanced water management in the region.

The implementation of digital meters by Nama Water Services marks a significant step towards modernizing water meter systems in North Al Batinah Governorate. By offering prepaid and postpaid options, the company is making it convenient for subscribers to manage their water consumption. The continuous and accurate readings provided by these meters not only improve the billing process but also contribute to better water conservation practices. The advanced features of the digital meters, including remote reading and leak detection capabilities, highlight the company’s commitment to providing efficient and reliable water services to its beneficiaries in the region.

The new digital meters introduced by Nama Water Service signify a major upgrade in water meter technology in North Al Batinah Governorate. By leveraging the latest advancements in metering technology, the company aims to enhance the overall service experience for its customers. Through remote reading and accurate billing, subscribers can now have better control over their water consumption. The real-time monitoring and notification features of the digital meters help in detecting leaks and preventing water loss. Overall, the installation of digital meters represents a positive step towards improving water management and conservation efforts in the region.

In conclusion, the implementation of digital meters by Nama Water Services Company in North Al Batinah Governorate is a significant development in the modernization of water meter systems in the region. By offering advanced features such as remote reading, prepaid and postpaid options, and leak detection capabilities, the company is striving to enhance the overall service experience for its customers.
