The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in Oman is gearing up to organize a series of events to attract tourists from various regional and international markets. One of the key events being planned is the “Marhaba Dhofar”, which will take place in the Dhofar Governorate with participation from tourism sector partners from Oman and Saudi Arabia. The aim of this event is to enhance tourism cooperation between the two countries and promote the unique tourism offerings of Dhofar, such as the “Sarb” season and winter tourism.

The Director General of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, Haitham bin Mohammed Al Ghassani, highlighted that the “Marhaba Dhofar” event is expected to draw in around 50 Saudi tourism companies and 15 media professionals from leading media institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A comprehensive program has been put together for this event, which includes discussion sessions, bilateral business meetings between Omani and Saudi tourism companies, and visits to prominent tourist sites in Dhofar Governorate.

The event aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and diverse attractions of Dhofar Governorate to a wider audience. By bringing together industry stakeholders and media representatives from Oman and Saudi Arabia, the event will create opportunities for collaboration and exchange of ideas to further boost tourism in the region. This initiative reflects the ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism to develop the tourism sector and attract more visitors to Oman.

The “Marhaba Dhofar” event is not only expected to generate interest and awareness about the tourism potential of Dhofar Governorate but also strengthen ties between Oman and Saudi Arabia in the tourism sector. With a focus on promoting sustainable tourism practices and preserving the unique cultural and environmental heritage of the region, the event will serve as a platform for meaningful dialogue and cooperation among key industry players.

The participation of Saudi tourism companies and media professionals in the “Marhaba Dhofar” event will offer them a first-hand opportunity to experience the beauty and hospitality of Dhofar Governorate. Through guided tours, site visits, and interactive sessions, they will gain insights into the tourism offerings of the region and explore potential collaborations with Omani partners to enhance the overall tourism experience for visitors.

In conclusion, the upcoming “Marhaba Dhofar” event organized by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in Oman is set to be a significant platform for promoting tourism cooperation between Oman and Saudi Arabia, showcasing the unique attractions of Dhofar Governorate, and fostering collaboration in the tourism sector. By bringing together industry stakeholders, media representatives, and tourism professionals from both countries, the event aims to create new opportunities for growth and development in the tourism industry while preserving the cultural and natural heritage of the region.
