The National Sports Day Committee in Doha, Qatar has announced the launch of the National Sports Day 2025 Award, designed to recognize agencies that promote a culture of sports among their employees. The award aims to encourage public health and sportsmanship within Qatari society, as well as motivate agencies to provide a healthy and energetic work environment for their staff members. The Chairperson of the National Sports Day Committee, Abdulrahman bin Musallam Al Dosari, highlighted the importance of organizing year-round sports events in alignment with the vision of National Sports Day, which promotes sports as a sustainable lifestyle.

To participate in the award, agencies are required to document their activities by uploading photos and videos on social media using specific hashtags and mentioning the National Sports Day account. Additionally, agencies must fill out an event form on the Ministry of Sports and Youth website, providing information about the event and the number of participants. Al Dosari emphasized the importance of adhering to security and safety protocols, including the provision of medical teams during events. Participants will be evaluated based on criteria such as the number of events organized, event duration, number of participants, and the level of agency staff engagement in the Sports for All calendar.

The announcement of the National Sports Day 2025 Award represents a significant step towards promoting a culture of sports and physical activity in Qatar.
