The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) Thirst Quenchers 2024 held its seventh event at a worksite located in City Centre Mall. The annual summer awareness program aims to promote a healthy and safe working environment during the hot months of July and August. The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Labour’s efforts to ensure the well-being of workers in Bahrain. In line with this goal, ICRF distributes bottled water, Laban, and fruits to workers at their worksites to combat the intense summer heat.

Around 270 workers benefited from the program, receiving water bottles, juice, oranges, apples, and bananas, along with flyers containing emergency contact numbers. The support from the Bohra community and generous volunteers has been instrumental in the success of the project. The team plans to continue these weekly events at various worksites for the next four weeks, reaching out to those most affected by the challenging weather conditions.

Amidst the sweltering heat of July and August, the ICRF Thirst Quenchers program serves as a vital resource for workers in Bahrain. The initiative not only provides essential hydration and nourishment but also raises awareness about the importance of staying safe and healthy during the summer months. By collaborating with the Ministry of Labour and leveraging the support of volunteers and community members, ICRF is able to make a meaningful impact in ensuring the well-being of workers across the country.

The distribution of water bottles, Laban, and fruits at worksites is a simple yet effective way to support workers who are exposed to the harsh summer conditions. By providing these essentials, ICRF helps alleviate the challenges faced by individuals working in outdoor settings during the hottest time of the year. The inclusion of emergency contact numbers on flyers also ensures that workers have access to immediate assistance in case of any health concerns or emergencies.

The strong support from the Bohra community and volunteers underscores the collaborative efforts that drive the success of the ICRF Thirst Quenchers program. Their generosity and dedication play a crucial role in ensuring that the initiative reaches as many workers as possible and makes a tangible difference in their lives. By coming together to support this important cause, community members demonstrate their commitment to the well-being of all individuals, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances.

As the summer continues, the ICRF Thirst Quenchers team remains committed to its mission of promoting awareness and providing support to workers in Bahrain. With upcoming events planned at various worksites over the next four weeks, the initiative will continue to reach out to those in need and make a positive impact on their daily lives. By extending a helping hand and spreading important messages about health and safety, ICRF contributes to creating a safer and more supportive environment for all workers in the country.
