Health Minister meets official from the Gulf Cooperation Council

Minister of Public Health, H E Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari recently met with Director General of the GCC Health Council, Suleiman Al Dakhil, and WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Hanan Hassan Balkhy, to discuss various healthcare-related matters. During the meeting with Suleiman Al Dakhil, discussions focused on Qatar’s upcoming hosting of the 10th meeting of the GCC Health Ministers Committee and the 87th meeting of the Health Ministers Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in October. The meeting also touched upon cooperation between Qatar and the GCC Health Council, as well as the Council’s current activities and future projects.

Additionally, the Minister’s virtual meeting with Dr. Hanan Hassan Balkhy centered around preparations for Qatar hosting the 71st session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean. The discussions also highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between Qatar and the World Health Organization (WHO). These meetings reflect Qatar’s commitment to advancing healthcare initiatives and partnerships within the region and on a global scale.
