Qatar’s Youth Handball Team Welcomes Home After Asian Championship Victory
The Qatari youth handball team received a warm and enthusiastic welcome upon its arrival at Hamad International Airport. The team had just been crowned champions of the 11th edition of the Asian Under-19 Handball Championship held in Amman, Jordan. They returned home with the championship trophy and gold medals, completing the tournament with an impressive undefeated record and securing qualification for the World Handball Championship scheduled to take place in North Macedonia in 2027.

As the Qatari delegation arrived, they were greeted by Mohamed Jaber, the Secretary-General of the Qatar Handball Federation, along with several board members, officials, families of the players, fans, and media representatives. The arrival hall was filled with a celebratory atmosphere, where players and staff received bouquets of flowers, highlighting the remarkable achievement that concluded a successful campaign, culminating in a victory against Bahrain in the final match.
