His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman, recently used social media to express his concerns and support for Lebanon and its citizens. He emphasized the need to address the root cause of the crisis in the region, which he believes is the illegal occupation of Palestine by Israel. The minister criticized governments that simply condemn Iranian actions without taking meaningful action to resolve the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

In his statement, the Foreign Minister stressed that achieving peace in the region requires an end to Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine. He argued that previous attempts to contain Iran, eliminate Hamas, or defeat Hezbollah have not been successful in restoring peace. He urged the international community to prioritize the establishment of a fully sovereign Palestinian state, supported by all relevant resources and organizations.

The minister expressed disappointment with Western governments for failing to ensure the security and stability of the Palestinian people. He highlighted the impact of illegal settlements and the imposition of an apartheid regime on the rights and lives of Palestinians under occupation. He called for immediate action to halt Israel’s military operations in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, and to work towards a peaceful resolution through collective international efforts.

Emphasizing the importance of genuine respect for international law, the Foreign Minister called on Israel to adhere to its obligations and suspend its actions that violate international norms. He urged supporters of Israel to prioritize the implementation of international law in the case of Palestine, rather than continuing to hinder its progress. He echoed the need for concrete action to end Israel’s illegal occupation and establish a sovereign Palestinian state with the full support of the international community.

In conclusion, His Excellency reiterated the need for a comprehensive approach to resolving the conflicts in the Middle East. He emphasized the importance of addressing the root cause of the crisis and prioritizing the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state. He called for collective international action to bring an end to Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine and to ensure the security and stability of the Palestinian people. Through his statements, the Foreign Minister of Oman has highlighted the urgent need for meaningful action to restore peace and justice in the region.
