Media City Qatar has recently announced the appointment of Eng Jassim Mohamed Al Khouri as their new Chief Executive Officer. With nearly twenty years of experience in project development and management, Al Khouri promises to bring a wealth of expertise to the role. His leadership is expected to position Media City Qatar as a leading global hub for media content creators, entrepreneurs, innovators, and creative talents, aligning with the national media and creative sector development as outlined in the Third Qatar National Development Strategy, 2024-2030.

In his new role as CEO, Al Khouri will be focusing on advancing Media City Qatar’s long-term corporate strategy, business development, and investment portfolio. He will be overseeing the organization’s multifaceted mandate as a regulator, developer, and investor, offering essential services such as business incubation, permits, licenses, and state-of-the-art production facilities to media and creative professionals and companies. Additionally, his leadership will be instrumental in driving media innovation, content creation, and digital transformation in Qatar through the organization.

Al Khouri is no stranger to leadership roles, as he currently serves as a Board Member of the Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg; Advisory Committee Member at UDST; and Advisory Committee Board Member at Texas A&M University at Qatar and Qatar University. His past career highlights include executive and technical experience in senior roles at top local and international companies, including Media City Qatar, North Oil Company (Qatar), and Maersk Oil Qatar, among others. Al Khouri holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Qatar University and leadership certificates from Qatar Leadership Centre and INSEAD.

With Al Khouri at the helm, Media City Qatar is poised to become a key player in the global media and creative industry. His strategic vision and leadership skills are expected to drive growth and innovation within the organization, positioning it as a leading hub for media content creation and entrepreneurship. Additionally, Al Khouri’s extensive experience in project development and management will be invaluable in advancing Media City Qatar’s goals and objectives in the coming years, aligning with the national development strategy for the media and creative sector.
