Dubai launches new program to train religious leaders in creating social media content

Dubai recently launched the ‘Preaching Content Creators’ programme, aiming to train 35 specialists in creating religious content online. In partnership with the New Media Academy, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department seeks to equip preachers with the necessary tools to disseminate content effectively on social media platforms. Dr Omar Mohammed Al Khatib, Executive Director of the Islamic Affairs Sector, highlighted the importance of the programme in spreading awareness and positive guidance within society through modern media.

The five-week programme, spanning 100 training hours, will cover digital content creation, public speaking, and creative storytelling. Participants will also engage in workshops on essential skills like media appearance, mobile photography, editing, and strategic content publishing across social media platforms. With 20 expert lecturers guiding them, participants will gain valuable knowledge and skills to create impactful religious content for various audiences.

Hussein Al Attouli, Director of the New Media Academy, emphasized the programme’s goal of enhancing the quality of content on social media by providing content creators with tools to deliver impactful messages simply and effectively. The programme not only focuses on content creation but also introduces participants to the latest trends in digital marketing and artificial intelligence, ensuring that graduates can manage their content professionally and engage effectively with their audiences.

Through the ‘Preaching Content Creators’ programme, Dubai aims to promote the use of modern media to reach different segments of society with religious content. By equipping preachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to create engaging content, the initiative seeks to foster positive and meaningful interactions online. With a strong focus on digital content creation, public speaking, and creative storytelling, participants will be prepared to navigate the digital landscape and effectively communicate their messages.

Participants in the programme will benefit from workshops on essential skills such as media appearance, mobile photography, editing, and strategic content publishing across various social media platforms. The curriculum, designed to enhance the quality of content on social media, will also introduce participants to the latest trends in digital marketing and artificial intelligence.
