The Shura Council of Qatar recently held its regular weekly session, where they strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces for burning the Kamal Adwan Hospital in the Gaza Strip. The Council labeled this action as a war crime, a crime against humanity, and a violation of international laws protecting civilians and healthcare institutions. They held the occupation authorities responsible for these crimes and raised concerns about the impact on security and stability in the region. The Council also denounced the intrusion of the Israeli Minister of National Security into Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling it a violation of the sanctity of holy places and an insult to Muslims worldwide. They urged international organizations to pressure the occupation authorities to stop these violations and protect the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

During the session, the Shura Council Secretary-General read the agenda, and the minutes of the previous session were approved. The Council then approved a draft law regulating travel and cargo offices, which was referred to the government after review and discussion by the Health, Public Services, and Environment Affairs Committee. They also reviewed a draft law about extending the concession granted to the Qatar Ports Management Company, referring it to the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee for further study. Additionally, the Council discussed reports on the participation of its delegations in various regional and international parliamentary events.

The Shura Council’s condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces’ actions in Gaza highlights their commitment to upholding international norms and protecting the rights of civilians. By denouncing these violations and calling for immediate action from international organizations, the Council is demonstrating its solidarity with the Palestinian people and its dedication to promoting justice and peace in the region. The Council’s focus on legislative matters, such as the approval of draft laws and the review of concession extensions, reflects its role in shaping policies that impact the country’s travel and cargo industries. Through its active participation in parliamentary events, the Council is working to strengthen Qatar’s relationships with other nations and contribute to global discussions on important issues.

The Shura Council’s role as a legislative body in Qatar is vital to the functioning of the government and the protection of its citizens’ rights. By approving draft laws and referring important matters to relevant committees for further study, the Council is ensuring that the country’s legal framework remains up-to-date and effective. The Council’s attention to regional and international events demonstrates its commitment to engaging with the global community and promoting Qatar’s interests on the world stage. Overall, the Shura Council’s recent session highlights its dedication to upholding international laws, promoting peace and justice, and contributing to the development of Qatar’s legislative framework and international relationships.

In conclusion, the Shura Council’s regular weekly session in Qatar addressed important issues related to the Israeli occupation forces’ actions in Gaza, the protection of holy sites, and legislative matters impacting the country’s travel and cargo industries. Through its condemnation of these violations, approval of draft laws, and participation in parliamentary events, the Council is working to uphold international norms, protect the rights of its citizens, and promote Qatar’s interests on the global stage. As a key legislative body in the country, the Shura Council plays a crucial role in shaping policies, promoting justice and peace, and contributing to the development of Qatar’s legal framework and international relationships.
