The shooting for the highly anticipated fourth season of Bridgerton has officially begun, attracting a lot of attention from fans. Netflix recently shared a sneak peek of the cast on Instagram, giving followers a glimpse of what’s to come. The post featured the first official photo of Yerin Ha as Sophie Baek and Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton, announcing the start of production for the new season. Ha’s character, Sophie Baek, is described as a maid with a mysterious history hidden behind a mask, both literal and figurative. On the other hand, Thompson will portray the role of Benedict, the second-eldest Bridgerton brother, who is hesitant to settle down until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver.

Ha shared her excitement about joining the cast and revealed what attracted her to the character of Sophie. She mentioned that Sophie faces constant obstacles, particularly in relation to her social status and her feelings for Benedict. The Hollywood Reporter teased Benedict’s storyline, hinting at a potential romance with Sophie at a masquerade ball. Season three of the show, which was centered around Coughlan and Newton’s characters, Polin, garnered massive viewership, making it one of Netflix’s most-watched shows. Showrunner Jess Brownell hinted at a two-year wait before season four airs, explaining the lengthy production process involved in creating each season.

The upcoming season of Bridgerton is set to feature eight episodes, continuing the beloved adaptation of Julia Quinn’s books. Produced by Shonda Rhimes’ renowned company, Shondaland, the show boasts a talented ensemble cast including Claudia Jessie, Golda Rosheuvel, Adjoa Andoh, and Ruth Gemmell. Fans can expect more drama, romance, and intrigue as the Bridgerton family navigates the intricacies of high society in Regency-era London. With each season building on the success of its predecessors, Bridgerton continues to captivate audiences around the world. Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses as the fourth season unfolds.
