The State of Qatar recently participated in an international conference at UNESCO headquarters in Paris to celebrate the centenary of the establishment of the International Institute of Intellectual Cooperation (IIIC). Qatar’s representatives at the event included Dr. Nasser bin Hamad Al Hanzab and Dr. Ghanem bin Mubarak Al Ali. The conference showcased films from UNESCO’s archives and featured an exhibition in collaboration with Japan. The IIIC was founded in 1920 after World War I and played a crucial role in developing international standards, organizing conferences, and publishing works on various cultural topics.

The International Institute of Intellectual Cooperation was established following the founding of the League of Nations in 1920.
