Qatar Rail organizes educational visits for local and international students at Doha Metro

Qatar Rail has recently hosted four field visits at the Doha Metro network for students and children as part of their commitment to social responsibility. These visits aimed to provide participants with a unique experience and educate them about the operations of the metro system. The goal was to highlight the importance of efficient public transportation in urban mobility and connectivity, as well as to promote sustainable and eco-friendly transportation in Qatar. These visits included participants from Aspire Summer Camp, Al Khor Sports Club Summer Camp, and international students from Zimbabwe, who had the opportunity to explore different metro stations and learn about the network’s role in enhancing connectivity and supporting sustainable transport initiatives.

The field visits organised by Qatar Rail were designed to engage students in learning about the Doha Metro network and its services. Participants had the chance to visit various metro stations, such as Sport City, Lusail QNB, National Museum, and Msheireb stations. Through these visits, students were able to gain a better understanding of the metro’s operations and its commitment to providing an integrated, reliable, and sustainable travel experience. Qatar Rail’s social responsibility strategy includes raising community awareness and educating the younger generation about the Doha Metro network, its facilities, and how to benefit from its services to reach key destinations in Doha.

In collaboration with Qatar Airways and other local and international entities, Qatar Rail plans to continue hosting educational school visits for students in the upcoming academic year. These visits are part of the company’s efforts to promote sustainable transportation and environmental preservation in Qatar. By engaging students in learning about the Doha Metro network, Qatar Rail aims to highlight the metro’s contribution to sustainability and the importance of efficient public transportation in urban areas.
