UAE: Renowned Emirati Poet Khalifa bin Hamad Al-Kaabi Dies

Emirati poet Khalifa bin Hamad Al-Kaabi passed away on Thursday, leaving behind a legacy of national and social poetry. Sultan Al-Amimi, Chairman of the Emirates Writers Union, posted about the poet’s death on his X handle, expressing his condolences to the family of the deceased and the honorable Bani Kaab. Al-Kaabi is considered one of the first poets to have founded the poetry movement in Abu Dhabi and was a member of the Al Ain City Poets Council. He was also one of the founders of the council on Abu Dhabi Television. Funeral prayers for Al-Kaabi will be held on Thursday, according to media reports.
