Shiba Inu ($SHIB), a popular ERC-20 meme coin, is currently underperforming compared to Bitcoin ($BTC) and Ethereum ($ETH) as holders are exiting their positions in search of newer investment opportunities. In the last 24 hours, $SHIB fell 2.4%, while Bitcoin remains virtually unchanged, Ethereum fell about 0.6%, and Dogecoin ($DOGE) depreciated by 1.2%. Despite this, Shiba Inu is still 30% up from its price a year ago. In contrast, Bitcoin is up 103%, Ethereum added 44%, and Dogecoin grew by 39% over the same period.

Shiba Inu’s price chart shows a decline throughout the summer, despite reaching a recent high of $0.00002 in July. The token faces strong psychological resistance at this level, especially after last week’s crypto crash and current global tensions. Although the token has a relative strength index (RSI) hovering around 50, recent privacy features and the introduction of a new auto-burn function in the Shibarium network were not enough to boost its performance.

While $SHIB holders are facing losses, a new Shiba Inu-themed coin called Shiba Shootout ($SHIBASHOOT) has emerged as a potential competitor to other meme coins like DogWifHat, Floki, and Bonk. This Wild-West-style meme coin project aims to inject vitality and utility into the doge theme by offering challenges, showdowns, and meme sharing in the town of Shiba Gulch. The gamified social experience has the potential to outperform Dogecoin and become one of the top cryptocurrencies once it hits exchanges.

Investors can participate in Shiba Shootout’s presale at a fixed price of $0.0199 per token, with the option to purchase using ETH, BNB, USDT, or credit/debit card. The project is still in its early stages but has garnered attention for its unique approach and potential for growth. However, it is essential to note that cryptocurrency investments are high-risk, and investors should conduct thorough research before making any decisions.

In conclusion, Shiba Inu is currently experiencing a downturn compared to other major cryptocurrencies, but a new project called Shiba Shootout has emerged as a potential frontrunner in the meme coin space. With its gamified social experience and promising features, Shiba Shootout has the potential to disrupt the existing doge-themed coins and attract a new wave of investors. As the project progresses, investors should closely monitor its development and consider the risks associated with investing in cryptocurrencies.
