The Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid Al-Hogail, recently concluded an official visit to Turkey with the goal of enhancing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Turkey in various sectors including real estate development, road infrastructure, waste management, and recycling. During his visit, Al-Hogail met with Burak Daglioglu, head of the Investment Office of Turkey, to discuss ways to improve the real estate investment environment, develop economic zones, activate public-private partnerships, and link Saudi and Turkish companies in the real estate development sector to explore investment opportunities.

One of the highlights of the visit was the launch of the Saudi-Turkish Contracting Forum and an accompanying workshop organized by the Saudi Contractors Authority. The forum aimed to create alliances between contracting companies from both countries for major development projects. The session saw participation from high-level officials including Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade, Mustafa Tuzgu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Contractors Authority, Engineer Zakaria Al-Abdulqader, and President of Turkish Contractors Association, Erdal Eren. The forum emphasized the importance of coordination and joint work between Saudi and Turkish companies in various sectors to improve city services for residents.

During the forum, Al-Hogail expressed optimism about the outcomes of joint projects between Saudi and Turkish companies, increasing trade between the two countries, and leveraging capabilities for urban development and prosperity. He also attended roundtable meetings between Saudi and Turkish representatives to review key investment opportunities and projects in the real estate sector. Al-Hogail highlighted the importance of deepening partnerships with the Turkish side through joint cooperation with contractors, developers, and investors in the construction sector.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Al-Hogail has visited Turkey. Last July, he sponsored the Saudi-Turkish Business Forum and witnessed the signing of several cooperation agreements between Saudi and Turkish companies in real estate development, construction, engineering consultations, and various other investment sectors. The Minister has been actively working towards strengthening ties between Saudi Arabia and Turkey through various collaboration initiatives in the real estate and construction sectors.

Overall, the recent visit of Minister Majid Al-Hogail to Turkey aimed at enhancing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Turkey in key areas such as real estate development, road infrastructure, waste management, and recycling. The forum emphasized the importance of coordination and joint work between Saudi and Turkish companies in various sectors to improve city services and promote urban development and prosperity. Al-Hogail’s visit also included discussions on deepening partnerships with the Turkish side through joint cooperation with contractors, developers, and investors in the construction sector, highlighting the Ministry’s efforts to develop projects in Saudi Arabia through collaboration with real estate developers.
