Among the popular types of dates sold are Ikhlas, Shishi, Khanizi, Barhi, and other varieties. The event has also attracted around 33,000 visitors, including both citizens and residents.

This year’s Local Dates Exhibition is the 9th edition of the annual event and will continue until August 3. It operates daily from 4pm to 9pm, with extended hours until 10pm on Fridays. The exhibition is a great opportunity for locals and visitors to sample and purchase a wide variety of dates from local farms, supporting the local agricultural industry.

The high sales figures at the exhibition reflect the popularity of dates in Qatar, which are a staple in the country’s cuisine and culture. Dates are not only delicious but also highly nutritious, making them a popular choice for both everyday consumption and special occasions.

Visitors to the Local Dates Exhibition can expect to find a wide range of dates to choose from, including Ikhlas, Shishi, Khanizi, Barhi, and other varieties. The event provides a unique opportunity to support local farmers and learn more about the different types of dates grown in Qatar.

In addition to selling dates, the exhibition also serves as a platform for local farmers to showcase their products and interact with customers. Visitors can learn more about the cultivation of dates and the importance of the fruit in Qatari culture and tradition.

Overall, the Local Dates Exhibition at Souq Waqif is a must-visit event for residents and visitors in Doha, offering a unique opportunity to sample and purchase a wide variety of high-quality dates from local farms.
