Lusail greets 300,000 visitors for New Year’s Eve festivities

Lusail City in Doha, Qatar, has once again proven itself as a premier destination for major events and celebrations, as it attracted 300,000 visitors to its New Year’s Eve celebrations. The event, held for the second consecutive year, took place at Lusail Boulevard and welcomed locals, residents, and tourists, especially from GCC countries, to join in the grand festivities. The evening began with a captivating laser show at 6pm, followed by stage performances that energized the crowd and set the stage for an unforgettable night.

One of the highlights of the New Year’s Eve celebrations was an electrifying performance by DJ MK and drummer Kristina at 10pm, which kept the audience entertained and hyped up for the final hours of 2024. As the clock struck midnight, a breathtaking display of fireworks and pyrodrones lit up the sky over Lusail, creating a stunning scene to bid farewell to the old year and welcome in the new. To ensure smooth transportation for the large number of visitors, Doha Metro and Lusail Tram extended their services until 2am on New Year’s Eve. This allowed guests to easily travel to and from the celebration area without any hassle. Additionally, extra parking spaces were provided to accommodate the influx of attendees and make it convenient for everyone to access the event.
