Fashion Trust Arabia announces finalists for the ETA Prize 2024

The Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) recently announced the finalists for the FTA Prize 2024, which will take place in Marrakech as part of the Years of Culture Qatar – Morocco 2024. This prestigious event will showcase the work of 18 emerging talents from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, with a chance to win one of six FTA awards. Additionally, the four finalists for the Guest Country (Spain) Award were also unveiled. Qatar Museums (QM) emphasized the importance of the Year of Culture Initiative in promoting international cultural exchanges and fostering partnerships between Qatar and other countries.

The FTA Advisory Board selected these talented designers for their innovative and creative work, highlighting the diversity and richness of the fashion industry in the MENA region. The Years of Culture Initiative aims to deepen understanding among cultures and bring diverse communities together through shared experiences. The finalists will have the opportunity to present their work to a special jury in Marrakech on 24 October, with the winners being announced at the FTA Prize 2024 ceremony later that evening. The winning designers will receive a prize ranging from $100,000 to $200,000, depending on the size of their business, with an additional $50,000 for the Franca Sozzani Debut Talent Award.

The FTA Prize 2024 is a platform for emerging talents to showcase their creativity and talent on an international stage, gaining valuable exposure and recognition in the fashion industry. The event not only celebrates the work of designers from the MENA region but also highlights the importance of cultural exchange and collaboration in the global fashion community. Qatar Museums (QM) is dedicated to supporting and promoting creative talents in the region, fostering a thriving fashion ecosystem that connects designers with opportunities for growth and success.

By showcasing the work of emerging talents from the MENA region, the FTA Prize 2024 aims to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and creativity of the region while also providing a platform for designers to showcase their unique vision and perspective. The event serves as an opportunity for designers to network with industry professionals, gain valuable feedback, and secure future collaborations and partnerships.
