The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force has recently announced the opening of volunteer applications for civilians (both male and female) to join the reserve force for the year 2024. This opportunity is available to relatives of current employees and retirees of the Bahrain Defence Force and the National Guard, both military and civilian. Interested individuals can register on the Bahrain Defence Force website by following the provided link.

In order to be eligible for the reserve force, applicants must meet certain criteria. They must be Bahraini nationals between the ages of 18 and 55, although the upper age limit may be waived for technicians, specialists, or according to duty requirements. Additionally, applicants must have good conduct and not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving honour or honesty. They must also be fit for military service and successfully pass a prescribed medical examination conducted according to the system of military medical committees in the Bahrain Defence Force. Lastly, applicants must submit a volunteer application form available on the website.

The Reserve Force Law, governed by Decree-Law No. 5 of 1987, along with the regulations and instructions issued under it, outlines all rights and duties of the reserve force as a unit for the Bahrain Defence Force. This law also details the benefits and entitlements associated with serving in the reserve force, providing a comprehensive guide for those considering volunteering. By complying with this law and its regulations, volunteers are ensured proper treatment and recognition for their service.

Participating in the reserve force offers individuals a unique opportunity to contribute to the defence and security of Bahrain. Through volunteering in the reserve force, individuals can play a vital role in supporting the country’s armed forces and upholding national security. This experience can also provide volunteers with valuable skills, training, and personal development opportunities that can benefit them both personally and professionally.

Volunteering for the reserve force can also be a rewarding experience for individuals seeking to give back to their country and serve their community. By answering the call to serve in the reserve force, volunteers demonstrate a strong commitment to protecting Bahrain and its citizens. This sense of duty and patriotism can be a motivating factor for individuals considering joining the reserve force, helping them make a meaningful impact on their country.

Overall, the opening of volunteer applications for the reserve force presents a valuable opportunity for civilians in Bahrain to contribute to their country’s security and defence efforts. By meeting the specified criteria and following the guidelines outlined by the Reserve Force Law, interested individuals can embark on a fulfilling and impactful journey of service. Whether they are motivated by a sense of duty, personal development, or a desire to give back, volunteering for the reserve force can be a rewarding experience for those looking to make a difference.
