Foreign resident apprehended for homicide in Oman

Muscat: An expatriate in Oman has been arrested for the murder of a person from the same nationality as him in the Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali, South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. The Royal Oman Police (ROP) released a statement online stating that the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command apprehended the individual on charges of committing the murder due to personal disputes between the two parties. The legal proceedings against the suspect are now under way.

The incident took place in the Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali, a region located in southern Al Sharqiyah Governorate. The suspect, who is of Asian nationality, was arrested after the victim, also of the same nationality, was found dead. The murder is believed to have stemmed from personal disputes between the two individuals, leading to a tragic outcome. The ROP has assured that the legal procedures against the suspect will be carried out in accordance with the law.
