Bahrain is leading the way in strengthening partnerships and collaboration among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) communication centers. The CEO of the National Communication Centre (NCC), Ahmed Khaled Al Araifi, highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to fostering relationships with other GCC countries and supporting joint projects and initiatives during the second meeting of GCC government communication center heads in Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting at Maraya Hall in Al Ula, Al Araifi discussed Bahrain’s communication strategy and shared insights from the 33rd Arab Summit, which was hosted by the Kingdom in May. He emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and best practices in government communication to create a cohesive narrative.

One of the key aspects of Bahrain’s strategy is to humanize government communication by encouraging dialogue with both the media and the public. This approach aims to shift communication from being a one-way information source to a platform for engaging discussions. The participants in the meeting discussed ways to advance communication cooperation among GCC countries and develop actionable programs to support joint media initiatives.

The event, organized by the Saudi Government Communication Centre and attended by leaders from the GCC communication centers, focused on the value of collaborative training and the exchange of best practices in government communication. Under the patronage of Salman bin Yousef Al Dosari, the Saudi Minister of Media, the meeting marked a significant step towards enhancing media and communication cooperation in the region.

Dr. Abdullah Al Maghlouth, the Saudi Assistant Minister of Media, also highlighted the importance of leveraging media tools to create accurate and impactful content that showcases a positive image of GCC countries. The discussions at the meeting underscored the significance of working together to achieve regional media advancements and empower participants to deliver high-quality communication initiatives.
