Over 118 tonnes of dates sold at Souq Waqif’s Local Dates Festival in six days

The Local Dates Exhibition at Souq Waqif in Doha, Qatar, has proven to be a huge success this year, with over 118 tonnes of dates sold in the first six days of the event. Among the popular types of dates sold are Ikhlas, Shishi, Khanizi, Barhi, and other varieties. The event has also attracted around 33,000 visitors, including both citizens and residents.

This year’s Local Dates Exhibition is the 9th edition of the annual event and will continue until August 3. It operates daily from 4pm to 9pm, with extended hours until 10pm on Fridays.
