The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) recently thwarted a major drug smuggling attempt at Jeddah Islamic Port. The authority discovered 2,414,489 Captagon pills hidden within a consignment that was arriving in the Kingdom. ZATCA worked closely with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control and was able to arrest six individuals who were involved in the smuggling operation. This successful interception highlights ZATCA’s dedication to intensifying customs control and ensuring the safety of the community.

ZATCA is committed to preventing smuggling activities and has urged the public to report any suspicious behavior. The authority has set up a dedicated security number, 1910, for individuals to report any illicit activities related to smuggling. Reports can also be submitted via email at [email protected] or through the international number +966114208417. ZATCA assures informants that their reports will be treated with utmost confidentiality, and they may even receive a financial reward if their tips lead to successful interceptions. By working together with the public, ZATCA hopes to combat smuggling effectively and safeguard the Kingdom’s borders.

The successful interception at Jeddah Islamic Port underscores the importance of customs control in preventing illegal activities. ZATCA’s collaboration with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control has proven to be effective in identifying and stopping smuggling attempts. By remaining vigilant and continuously monitoring imports and exports, ZATCA aims to protect the community from the dangers posed by illegal substances like Captagon. The authority’s quick and decisive action in this case demonstrates their commitment to combating drug trafficking and ensuring the safety of the Kingdom’s residents.

ZATCA’s efforts to combat smuggling are part of a larger strategy to maintain security and stability within the Kingdom. By intercepting illegal drugs like Captagon, the authority is not only preventing harm to individuals who may be exposed to these substances but also disrupting the operations of criminal networks that profit from drug trafficking. The successful interception at Jeddah Islamic Port serves as a warning to smugglers that their activities will not go unnoticed and that ZATCA is determined to prevent the entry of illegal goods into the Kingdom.

The public plays a crucial role in supporting ZATCA’s efforts to combat smuggling. By reporting any suspicious activities or behaviors, individuals can help authorities identify and intercept illegal shipments before they reach their intended destinations. ZATCA’s initiative to offer a financial reward to informants whose tips lead to successful interceptions further incentivizes the public to assist in the fight against smuggling. By working together, the authorities and the community can create a safer and more secure environment for all residents of the Kingdom.

In conclusion, ZATCA’s successful interception of a large quantity of Captagon pills at Jeddah Islamic Port highlights the importance of customs control in preventing the entry of illegal substances into the Kingdom. By collaborating with other law enforcement agencies and actively engaging the public in reporting suspicious activities, ZATCA is able to effectively combat smuggling and protect the community from harm. The authority’s commitment to maintaining security and safety within the Kingdom is evident in its swift and decisive actions against illegal activities. Through continued vigilance and cooperation, ZATCA aims to strengthen border security and prevent the spread of illegal goods within the Kingdom.
