Weekly Cabinet Meeting Led by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Held at Gudaibiya Palace

The weekly Cabinet meeting chaired by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa discussed key national and international matters, including the significance of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to the United Kingdom. The Cabinet welcomed the newly appointed ministers and commended the positive outcomes of the official visit by the Prime Minister of Montenegro, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation.

In line with Bahrain’s dedication to youth empowerment, the Cabinet welcomed the launch of the global youth support initiative “Hope Network,” spearheaded by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The initiative aims to engage and empower the Kingdom’s youth. The Cabinet also celebrated Bahrain’s national volleyball team for their recent victory at the 23rd Arab Men’s Volleyball Championship, acknowledging it as a significant addition to the Kingdom’s sports achievements.

The Cabinet extended best wishes for the success of the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit hosted by Saudi Arabia, highlighting its significance in bolstering Arab solidarity. In international matters, the Cabinet congratulated US President-elect Donald Trump on his electoral victory, emphasizing the longstanding Bahrain-US relationship spanning over 120 years. The Cabinet also reviewed and approved key memorandums focused on drug management, government agency restructuring, and legal affairs.

The meeting also discussed ministerial reports, including Bahrain’s participation in the GCC Ministerial Committee meeting and the official visit of the Minister of Industry and Commerce to the UAE. The discussions underscored Bahrain’s efforts to strengthen international relations, improve governance, and enhance the youth and sporting sectors. The Cabinet reaffirmed its commitment to advancing shared objectives and enhancing cooperation with its international partners.

Overall, the Cabinet meeting led by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its ties with key international partners and promote youth empowerment through initiatives like the “Hope Network.” The Cabinet’s discussions on various memorandums and ministerial reports underscored the government’s commitment to enhancing efficiency, improving governance, and addressing key issues such as drug management and antimicrobial resistance.
