In Berlin, football fans attending Euro 2024 are taking their support to the next level by getting free tattoos to commemorate the tournament. Tattoo artist Enaitz Greaney is offering around a dozen poke tattoos per day at the fan zone in Berlin. Fans can choose from various flash tattoo designs, with popular choices including the Berlin bear and the local 030 dialling code. According to Greaney, getting a tattoo is seen as a fun way for fans to decorate their bodies and create lasting memories of the tournament. These tattoos have been especially popular with fans like Julia G, who sees them as a unique way to remember the summer and the exciting football games.

While getting a tattoo at the fan zone is a unique and exciting experience for football fans, scoring an appointment with Greaney can be quite challenging due to the high demand. Despite this, fans are lining up early to secure a chance to get a free tattoo and be a part of the exciting atmosphere at the Berlin fan zone. The poke tattoos done by Greaney with a single needle are said to hurt less than traditional tattoos done in parlors, making the experience more enjoyable for fans looking to capture memories of the tournament. One fan mentioned that getting a tattoo was a nice way to remember the beautiful summer and the excitement of Euro 2024, showcasing the significance of these tattoos for fans.

Greaney shared that one of his highlights of the event was giving an “older gentleman” his first tattoo, highlighting the range of fans who are eager to participate in this unique experience. For many fans, these tattoos are more than just body art – they are a symbol of their passion for football and their love for the Euro 2024 tournament. Greaney’s tattoos are a way for fans to express their dedication to the sport and create a lasting memory of the event. As fans continue to flock to the Berlin fan zone for their chance to get a free tattoo, the excitement and anticipation surrounding the tournament only continue to grow.

The Berlin fan zone, also known as the Fan Mile, opens at 2 pm CET, with appointments for tattoos being offered on the day. Fans who are eager to get a tattoo are encouraged to arrive early and join the queues to secure their spot. While getting a tattoo may not be for everyone, for those passionate football fans in Berlin, it offers a unique opportunity to be a part of the Euro 2024 experience in a lasting and meaningful way. With the popularity of these free tattoos continuing to grow, it is clear that football fans in the German capital are embracing this opportunity to mark their memories of the tournament permanently. As fans proudly show off their new tattoos, it is evident that football can truly be a skin-deep passion that brings people together in unique and exciting ways.
